Wheeling, Illinois - Our year-end numbers continue to climb but thought we would share some interesting stats we have already compiled as part of our 2019 wrap-up:

• Launched 14 new products
• Shipped 29,000,000 pieces.
• Walked on 3 different continents.
• Traveled through 7 different countries.
• Accumulated 500,000 air miles.

ILC has been all over the globe in 2019 and amongst all of the time recovering from jetlag and breathing in the recycled air, we like to take a step back and self-reflect a bit. 

Introspection aside, a busy company usually means a growing company, and we can't deny growing a global company takes intentional effort and tremendous focus.  We are so proud of our entire ILC team for all their hard work this year.  Top to bottom, our business advanced and capped-off a decade of growth with more progress in our commercial strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and manufacturing capabilities

As we enter 2020, Illinois Lock will celebrate 90 years of business and look to celebrate a highly successful kick-off to a new decade of growth for our associates, customers, partners and shareholders.

NEW PRODUCT + CHANNEL HIGHLIGHTS

This year we unleashed some NEW truly state-of-the-art standardized and customizable security solutions products and updated a few old favorites, such as our: 

• Position Control Hinges
• Roof Top Clamps
• GT Power Lock Module
• GT Handle Actuator

We also more thoroughly stepped up our Amazon game too! We worked on getting a large selection of our CCL Security and Sesamee line available for Prime orders, including padlocks and cam locks like:

• Sesamee 436 4-Dial Combination Padlock
• CCL Security 39051 3-Dial Cam Lock
• Sesamee 430 Series Keyed Padlocks

We don't need to tell you how important a role Amazon plays in the digital retailer space right now. We are excited to be expanding our online catalog here and look forward to adding even more products to our online store in the coming months! 

A FEW PLACES WE SAW IN 2019 

June's Outdoor Retailer Summer Market was a blast- per usual. This 3-day event in beautiful Denver, Colorado collected the top outdoor companies and enthusiasts in the world for an indoor and outdoor experience like no other! As Bob. K from our team said of the event: 

"From start to end, there was an unlimited amount of products for any and every outdoor activity. The products represented provided an enjoyable event for friends and family. A few that stood out were the kayak companies and the new camper tops designed for mounting on top of a vehicle. I've never seen so many shoe companies under one roof. The products were very cool!" 

We always have a blast at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, and can't wait to be back June 23rd-25th, 2020.

Speaking of a blast- how could we discuss our top events of 2019 without giving a massive shout-out to SEMA?!  The Specialty Equipment Market Association Show, which took place from November 5th to 8th in lovely Las Vegas, Nevada, is the premier event in the automotive aftermarket industry!

This year we were able to connect with new business partners and had over 700 visitors to our booth! We were able to display and demonstrate our extensive range of engineered security products to great acclaim! Also, we previewed our Bluetooth® locking system for truck tonneaus and caps and our first-generation roof-top clamp system for tents, bike, and sport rack applications.  We already can't wait to be back there THIS YEAR from November 3rd-6th!

THE GIFTS THAT WE GAVE

Okay, so, we understand that we might not exactly be Jolly Old Saint Nick when it comes to "giving gifts." HOWEVER, we did donate our time and resources to a few excellent causes along the way in 2019:

• Wheeling Township Food Pantry
• Wheeling Chamber of Commerce & Industry – Job Fair
• Outdoor Industry Association – Skip Yowell Leadership Academy
• Outdoor Foundation – Thrive Outside Initiative
• Soldier’s Angels - Treats for Troops
• Wheeling Township Winter Clothing Drive 

THE FUTURE WE SEE

Besides the trade shoes mentioned above that we already know we will be attending, we're sure 2020 will hold plenty of yet-to-be-scheduled trips around the globe, as we continue to grow. New product innovation will not be slowing down anytime soon either, as we plan on doing much more development in the exciting markets of Vehicle Accessories and the Medical Industry.

All and all, we thank YOU for following us on this crazy journey and sticking with us as we enter another decade in business as ILC. We can't wait to see what the coming years have in store for our brand and our field of expertise.
